GEORGIA STRAIGHT
Like the vaudeville masters of yesteryear, Seattle's Pleaseeasaur is nothing if not versatile. During past visits to these parts, the one-man Emerald City act has pulled support duties for units ranging from appallingly greasy standup comic Neil Hamburger to grandly grim alternative heavyweights the Black Heart Procession. The attraction? A single-soldier army who hits the stage with a trunk full of costumes (ranging from the abominable snowman to a fucked-up approximation of a Star Wars jawa), video projections, an undying love for infomercials, and synth-pop oddities like "Beef Flavored Island". The venue? The Pic, where you'll have the opportunity to score major hipster points on Saturday (January 29).
