Seattle's strangely funny Pleaseeasaur (like the dino, plesiosaur) celebrates the release of his album, "The Yellow Pages" on the imputor? record label. In the voice of a schmaltzy Las Vegas comedian, Pleaseeasaur sings karaoke-style about bizarre little nuggets of life over synthed-out background music. He often dons a polar bear costume when he performs. Opening for Pleaseeasaur is Aspects of Physics, local imputor? labelmate. Featuring ex-members of Thingy and Physics, AOP carefully calibrates a pleasing mix of traditional rock instrumentation with electronic beats. San Diego's Soul Junk also opens.
